The 2012 reunion took place on the Norwegian Cruise Lines ship, the "Norwegian Sky" from March 26 through March 30 2012.
We enjoyed great weather, great food and drink, and a beautiful ship. These things were nothing compared to the gathering of our Buechel friends. Even though our group is dwindling due to the over 40 years since we worked together in Germany, the feeling that we're all members of a family remains strong.
Ports of call included Grand Bahamas, Nassau, and the cruise companies private island, Great Stirrup Cay, where we had a day of sun on the beach, barbeque, parasailling, or just hanging out. The weather was as perfect as it's possible to be.
The evening meals were in one of the ship's formal dining rooms, and we Buechelites met there each evening to talk over the day's adventures. There were shows in the evenings, or the casino was an option.
The following photos will give viewers a little idea of our week in the sun.
Elsewhere on the blog are pictures taken of the last cruise in 1992, we had about 50 Buechelites at that one as compared to only 17 at this one.
