2018 Reunion Albuquerque

2018 Reunion, Albuquerque New Mexico
September 24 to 28, 2018

This year's reunion was held in Albuquerque, which was chosen because of the many activities available to us.  Prime among them especially in the eyes of former "Maintenance" people, was the Nuclear Weapons Museum.
The venue for the reunion was the "Staybridge Suites", located near the airport.  The Staybridge provided a complimentary van service which picked us up at the airport, and was available for transportation to and from different activities we engaged in during the week.  The rooms were small apartments with all the amenities.  Breakfast every day, as well as evening meals on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were also complimentary.
We visited the Nuclear Museum, as well as various other spots such as Old Town, and the cable car to the top of the Sandia range. (10,000 feet)
Our group has been diminished by the passage of time, but those of us who made the trip had a great time reminiscing, eating together, and enjoying the sights.

Enjoy the photos, and as usual, click a photo to enlarge it.

2016 Reunion at the Flying L

The Reunion Returns to the Dude Ranch!

The Buechel group decided to return to the Flying L ranch due to it's central location, and agreeable surroundings.  Each reunion sees a small reduction in our numbers, but an increase in the enthusiasm of the attendees who do come.  Attendees thanked John, Harry and Charlie for their efforts in organizing the event, when the thanks really should be to the Buechelites who make the effort to attend.  Our family has grown closer together with the passing years, with some of us seeing our Buechel friends as often as some actual family members.
As part of the reunion, we took a bus trip to the LBJ ranch, Chester Nimitz home, The Pacific war Museum and a German restaurant in Fredricksburg. (All arranged by Charlie Trent....thanks for a great day Charlie.)
The people at the Flying L gave us a reserved dining area for meals all week, as well as great accommodations....not to mention Buck, our very own singing cowboy.  The cowboy capital of the world was right outside the gates of the ranch, who could ask for anything more!

John and Harry would appreciate some ideas for the next reunion, possibly in one of the southern states on the east coast?

Enjoy the pictures, I'll add more as I get them from other attendees via E-mail.
